I wanted a big ass white apron farm sink, but I didn’t want to pay big ass prices… they go for up to 1K, sheesh. Then I spy the one at Ikea, it is enormous and white and apron and under $300. Ladies and gentlemen, I give you the Double Domsjo:

I challenge you to find a big ass kitchen sink like this one for under $500, it simply can not be done. The only draw back about this one is that it is an overmount which is not the chi chi foo foo way to do sinks these days. But trust me, once you get this sucker in there you won’t even notice it is an overmount. This sink has plumbing presence.;)

And I leave you with a short video of my girl taking a bath in the sink. This thing fits her perfectly… I wonder how long THAT will last.;)

I’m trying to convince Alan this is the exact right sink for us but he’s still hung up on the fact that it’s a double sink and not a single bowl.

It comes in a single bowl too… liked the double bowl one so much that we put a single bowl one in the mud room! What does he have against the double bowl? I can get my big ass frying pan totally in one of the sides, it is big and deep.

Love your sink and am dying to know what faucet you used. Please do share! My hubby and I are about to embark on a kitchen renovation (gulp…) and are going with the double domsjo. Thanks in advance!

  Love it! Great brand too.I lucked out and gbarbed a double-sink, apron-front, handmade in the UK farm sink at a warehouse sale for get this $100!! Originally it was a $900 sink. It was the first thing I bought for the new house. We joke that we started with the kitchen sink and then built a house around it. (Side story: we found out after we installed it why it was so cheap. It was the European version of the sink with overflow holes. In Canada the code doesn’t allow you to have overflows in the kitchen because of bacteria and smells. No biggie though, our creative Contractor found a way to block them up and still look good!)Tip: make sure your sink cabinet is extra sturdy to hold the weight of that gorgeous sink. If you google it, you’ll see lots of site showing how to add bracing to your standard cupboard.The fun part is picking out the faucets

oh my goodness i LOVE that logo! and i toaltly know what you mean about trying to find the perfect grey. i painted my room grey and it seriously took me like 3 months to getting more and more paint chips and taping them on the wall, all to pick out a completely different one from the rack when i went to buy the paint. it’s not entirely the perfect grey, but it’s quite close.
