Every year I take the kids and travel back east to see my parents. This year we took the dog as well which was an added bonus, big fun! Visiting my parents is always nice, yet the trip is made even nicer by a quick overnight pilgrimage to the Four Seasons in Baltimore. We plan this Baltimore jaunt smack dab in the middle of our visit to the Grandparent’s house so everyone can have a bit of downtime from the Mayhem and then we get back together fresh and ready to visit some more. I highly recommend this type of family visiting. If the Four Seasons wasn’t an option, I would even do a tent somewhere to take a brief respite from the drama that is my crazy family, and I am NOT a camper.;)
