You never know what you are going to find at my favorite trash to treasure source, Urban Ore in Berkeley.  I head there often and come home with great finds.  This week I am helping a friend furnish her new home in the wine country, she is going for cottage chic, light and airy and bright… and I had my eyes open for full and queen sized bed frames.  And looky what I found!

that’s real wood there, not resin appliqué molding, not that there is anything wrong with that;)

There were other frames there, but this one was by far the nicest, check out the detail on the legs with casters to boot!

needs a bit of cleaning, but how pretty are the gams on this bed?!

And here is another shot of the footboard alone:

very shabby chic

if she hadn’t wanted this bed Scarlett may have needed an upgrade!

Here was another headboard option, but it was too busy and not at all cottagey… yet painted or glittered;) it would be beautiful:

paint me, paint me!

those bits are calling out for different colored paint, or glitter!

I spied this chair as well, it would be gorgeous refinished and reupholstered, but if I come home with any more chairs hubby might leave me.

make me pretty again!!!

it’s all in the legs, right?

Then I spied this french horn chandelier, beautiful heavy brass, calling out for some fun lampshades or some glitter!  You think I jest but in this case I do not.  I take my glitter very seriously.

so traditional, would love to funk it up a bit with fun lampshades and tiny touches of glitter here and there

I have two clients right now in need of lighting, but this is not what we were in the market for.  Although I should buy it, transform it and then show them.:D  I’ve half convinced myself already. Quick, somebody, go buy it so it will stop haunting me!;)
